Dorothy Faye Wolf Mule Island-Poafpybitty passed away peacefully Friday April 14, 2017 At the Comanche County Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side. Funeral Service will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Comanche Community Center in Apache with Pastor Charles Spencer officiating. Burial will follow at the Cache Creek KCA Cemetery, west of Apache Oklahoma under the direction of the Comanche Nation Funeral Home. Prayer service will be at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Comanche Community Center in Apache with Lay speaker Ricky Horse officiating Dorothy was born February 15, 1956 in Clinton, Oklahoma to Raeferde Wolf Mule and Norman Island. She was raised by Orvel Cowan, her stepfather and her sister Darlene Wolf Mule. She grew up in Watonga Oklahoma. She was a proud member of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma. Dorothy was a homemaker all of her adult life. She was married to the love of her life, Charles Poafpybitty for 34 years. She was a member of the Comanche Reformed Church. She also attended Petarsy United Methodist Church. She loved watching her favorite teams: OSU Cowboys and the Oklahoma City Thunders. She absolutely loved and adored her children, grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She is survived by; her son Justin Poafpybitty of the home, children Julieanna Island and fiancé Edwin Flute, Cameron Island and wife Irene Perez, Chelsea Poafpybitty, Candace Todd Valle and husband Albert Valle and Janice Durant all of Lawton; Courtney Island Rivera and husband Juan Rivera of Canute; Michele Vanhoose, Sarah Poafpybitty, of Lawton; Lance Poafpybitty, Lionel Poafpybitty and wife Lisa of Idabel; Adopted sons; Roger Todd and Joseph “J.E.” Todd of Calumet; Special niece, Troylynn Poafpybitty of Lawton; forty grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and loving friends. There are so many people who loved her and she is already greatly missed. She was preceded in death by; her parents Raeferde Wolf Mule, Norman Island and Stepfather Orvel Cowan, four brothers George Little Bear, Paul Little Bear, Eddie Island and Billy Willis, one sister Darlene Wolf Mule, three Infant Children; Charles Allan Poafpybitty , Jared Allan Poafpybitty and Stephanie Janelle Island. Ina Katherine Eckhart

Ina Katherine Eckhart was born October 2, 1915 at Eagle City, Oklahoma to Samuel Albert and Carrie Mable VanWinkle Green and passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017 at the age of 101. She was a resident of the Blaine County area most of her life, and resided in Idaho for 20 years. She attended Eagle City School and was a member of the Watonga Hospital Auxiliary and the Jolly Workers. She was married to Alex Womack from 1933 to 1936, and Jim Eckhart in Watonga in 1942. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim Eckhart and one son; Jerry, one daughter, Katherine; sisters, June, Martha, Violet, Vera, and brothers; Alvin and Ray. She is survived by: One son: Clifford Womack of Canyon City, Co, One brother:Lewis Green of Watonga, OK, One sister: Alma Rehlen of Watonga, OK and nineteen grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Ina will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Christian Church in Watonga with Pastor Adam Lovitt with burial following in the East Mt. Linda Sue Taylor 1947-2017

Linda Sue Taylor was born November 25, 1947 at Watonga, Oklahoma to Forest and Lema (Hood) Brewer and passed away Friday, May 5, 2017 at the age of 69. She was a resident of Watonga community her entire life where she worked for the last ten years as a custodian for Watonga Schools. Linda attended Watonga Schools and was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Watonga. She married John Taylor at Watonga on February 19, 1965. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother. She is survived by her husband John of the home in Watonga, OK, one son, Owen Taylor of Glendale, Arizona; two daughters, Cassie Horstman of Watonga, OK and Mary Draeger of Omena, Michigan; two brothers, Kenneth Brewer of Watonga, OK and Gene Brewer of Watonga, OK; one sister, Carol Yearwood of Pampa, TX, ten grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Linda Taylor will be held Monday, May 10, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the Trinity Baptist Church in Watonga. Burial will follow in the Thomas Cemetery in Thomas, OK

Robert (Bob) Bixler 1931-2017

Robert (Bob) Bixler was born October 4, 1931 in Watonga, Oklahoma as the second child of Harvey and Bonnie (Temple) Bixler. He attended elementary and High school in Watonga. When the Korean Conflict broke out he was drafted in the Army and deployed to Korea with the 31st Infantry Regiment as a Combat Engineer. Upon completion of his military service Bob enrolled at the University of Oklahoma – Norman graduating with a Business Degree in 1956. In 1954 he was united in marriage to Bonnie Sue Welch, ultimately residing in Tulsa, Oklahoma where they had two children. Bob worked for Bethlehem Steel Corporation in the Pipe and Tube Division until he relocated to Savannah, Tennessee and began working at the Counce, Tennessee Pipe Manufacturing Mill in 1969. He remained there until his retirement in 1992, devoting 23 years of faithful service. He enjoyed Deer and Duck Hunting, Golf, Dune-buggie activities and working on Volkswagen engines. In his retirement years he devoted his life to his faith, family, and friends. He attended the Spoken Word Church in Savannah, Tennessee. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Sue Welch Bixler; a son, Douglas H. Bixler and wife Melissa of Dawson, Alabama; a daughter, Roxanne Yvonne Bixler Willoughby of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Josh Bixler, Monica Dickson Lovelace, Chris Bixler, Christal Willoughby Fowler, Ryan Willoughby, and Linsee Willoughby Murphy; step grandchildren, Derrick McCurdy, Katie McCurdy, Melissa Welchel, Emily McCurdy, and Larmie McCurdy; great grandchildren, Whitley Lovelace, Wesley Lovelace, Elijah Fowler, Gage Bixler, Grayson Bixler, Gavin Grayson, Brody Bixler, and Kaden Bixler; and a great great great grandchild, Lila Welchel. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Warren and Bonnie Beatrice Temple Bixler and a brother, C. Temple Bixler. Margaret Rosalie Bewick Weber 1916-2017

Margaret Rosalie Bewick Weber of Kingfisher died Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at the age of 100. She was born October 19, 1916 in Columbia, Mo. to Stephenson and Rosa Maria Bewick, both of whom died while Margaret was in high school. Margaret moved to Oklahoma City to stay with her uncle, James Bewick. She attended the University of Oklahoma for three years, where she met and married Isaac Weber in 1938. They farmed near Omega, raising their two children, RoseMarie and Henry, both of whom graduated from OU. In addition to helping her husband run the farm, Margaret upholstered furniture, sewed the family’s clothing and draperies and was an extraordinary cook and a prolific gardener, winning multiple blue ribbons at the fair. She served as president of the Garden Club, grew beautiful flower gardens and remained an avid gardener throughout her life. She also was president of the Home Demonstration Club. Margaret was musically and artistically gifted as well. She sang in the church choir and taught piano to her own children and others and hosted competitions for the Oklahoma Federation of Music Clubs. She took painting classes, was a member and officer in the Brush and Palette Club, and became an award-winning artist, working in pastels, water colors, acrylics and oils Margaret and Isaac moved to Kingfisher in 1977, a few months before he died. On her own, she became a world traveler, visiting Israel, France, Rome, England, Australia and other destinations. She continued to live independently for most of her life. She is survived by daughter RoseMarie Pierce and husband Charles of San Diego, Calif.; son Henry Weber and wife Beth of Victoria, Texas; four grandchildren, David Pierce and Renae Pierce of San Diego, Stephen Weber and wife Tammy of Enid, Brian Weber and wife Jamie of Edmond; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held April 28, 2017, at the First Baptist Church, Kingfisher.

Patricia Louise "Patty" (Pinkerton) Chapman was born on January 29, 1934 in Chickasha, OK to Carl and Daisie (Cox) Pinkerton. She passed away Friday, May 5, 2017 in Geary, OK at the age 83. Patty grew up in Greenfield, graduated from Greenfield High School, and attended Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha, OK. She was united in marriage to Lee Chapman June 20, 1954 in Greenfield, OK, and they were married for 50 years. They lived in Watonga. She worked at various jobs in the Watonga Community. Patty enjoyed yard work, her flowers, quilting, sewing and feeding and watching her birds. She was a member of the Watonga First United Methodist Church. Survivors Include: her daughter, Mary Lou Scheihing and husband Kenny of Greenfield, OK; her five grandchildren, Justin Chapman and his wife Kristi of Geary, Autum Chapman and her fiancé Jordan of Mustang, Chad Scheihing and his wife Katie of Watonga, Cody Scheihing and his wife Erin of Watonga, and Caitlin Garrett and her husband Dustin of Greenfield; nine great-grandchildren, Kaylynn and Jackson Chapman, Kelsi, Mae, Caleigh, Grady, and Sage Scheihing, Dillinger Garrett, and Chandler Keeton; one brother, Marion Pinkerton of Chickasha, OK; sister-in-law, Sue Grishow of Watonga, OK; as well as many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Daisie Pinkerton, her husband Lee Chapman, her son, Carl Lee Chapman, and one brother, Mike Pinkerton. Memorial services for Thomas Ross “Tommy” Elmore, 52 year-old Thomas, Oklahoma resident, will be held Monday, May 8, 2017, 2:00 P.M. at the First Christian Church with Jason Williams and Jerry Yoder officiating. Services are under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Thomas. Tommy was born November 28, 1964, in Orlando, Florida to Jack and Betty (Westerman) Elmore and passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017, at his home in Thomas. Tommy and his family moved to Fay, Oklahoma in 1976. He graduated from Thomas High School in 1983 where he was active in track, FFA, football and basketball. He worked for Gary Ralston and later went into construction, doing handyman work and building fences. Tommy enjoyed fishing, riding horses, hunting, drawing, and spending time with family and friends. Tommy is survived by LaGena Elmore; two sons, Matthew Elmore of Thomas, Oklahoma and Jacob Elmore of Hollis, Oklahoma; one brother, Lawrence Elmore and Margie Johnson of Fay, Oklahoma; one sister, B.J. Floyd of Thomas, Oklahoma; and one grandson, Kasyn. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Chet R. Driever 1965~2017

Chet R. Driever was born October 28, 1965 at Long Beach, California to Floyd and Shirley (Morrison) Driever and passed away Friday, May 12, 2017 at the age of 51. Chet was a resident of the Watonga community his entire life where he was a farmer/rancher. He attended and graduated from Watonga High School in 1983. Chet was a member of the Watonga Elks Lodge and the AG Booster Club and was very involved with the Watonga Community Christmas Dinner. He was a devoted father, and his children were his pride and joy. Chet loved to hunt and fish with his son Tucker and watch him play football and wrestle, and he loved helping Hanna with her stock shows, and watching her show her cattle. Chet also loved his four-legged companion; Duke. He was very devoted to his family and always willing to help anyone with anything. He is preceded in death by both his paternal and maternal grandparents. His survived by his children: Hanna Lomax and her husband Corey of Yukon, Oklahoma, Tucker Driever of the home in Watonga, Oklahoma; Two brothers: Thad Driever and wife Lisa of Noble, Oklahoma, Chad Driever and wife Alyssa of Yukon, Oklahoma. His Parents: Floyd and Shirley Driever of Watonga, Oklahoma, Two nieces, two nephews and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Chet will be held Wednesday, May 17, at 2:00 P.M. at the Methodist Church in Watonga, a private family burial will follow. Arrangements by Wilkinson Mortuary of Watonga.

Marlena Williams 1972~2017

Funeral services for Marlena Williams of Enid (formerly of Carmen), will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at the Carmen Christian Church. Interment will be in the Carmen City Cemetery under the direction of Wentworth Mortuary, LLC. Marlena Marie Williams, daughter of Marlene (Williams) Reyes and the late Ronald Hadley, Sr., was born May 23, 1972, at Okeene, and passed away May 10, 2017, at Enid, at the age of 44 years, 11 months, and 17 days. Marlena was raised in Carmen by Juanita and Claudie Stebens, where she attended school and graduated high school. She attended the Assembly of God Church as a child and later attended the Native American Baptist Church in Enid. She was proud of her Native American heritage and enjoyed crafting Native American jewelry. She also liked to cross stitch and was an avid animal lover. Besides her biological father, Ronald, and her parents, Juanita and Claudie Stebens, she was preceded in death by siblings, Ronald Hadley, Jr., and Misty and Melissa Stebens. Marlena is survived by her mother, Marlene Reyes of El Reno; brothers, Frank Williams of El Reno, Monte Stebens of Carmen, and Michael Stebens and wife, Christine, of Mustang; sisters, Yolanda Robb and husband, David, of El Reno, Maria Farmer and husband, James, of El Reno, Makayla Glass and husband, David, of Hillsboro, Texas; other relatives and friends. Carolyn Kimble 1938~2017

Carolyn Kimble was born on June 19, 1938 in Gracemont, OK to Wilbur and Oleta J. (Mears) Malakosky. She passed away on May 9, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in El Reno, OK at the age of 78. Carolyn attended grade school at Mound Valley School near Sickles, and attended High School in Hinton, till her Junior year. Carolyn married Troy Kimble. The couple made their home in Hinton, and later divorced. While living in Hinton, she worked in Weatherford at the 3M Company. In the late 70’s Carolyn began a new journey for a new career. She received her GED, and Carolyn earned her Bachelor Degree of Science in Elementary Education at SWOSU. Upon graduation she taught from 1980 to 2004 in OKC Public School system. Carolyn was a wonderful cook and seamstress; she made many costumes for May Day Programs. Carolyn took great pride in decorating her home. Carolyn was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hinton, OK; OEA and NEA. She will be greatly missed by all those who loved her. Survivors Include: her daughters, Shara Dawn Christensen of El Reno, OK and husband Terry of Hinton, OK, and Launa Kimble and Billy Reeder of Thomas, OK, her grandchildren, Kara Monroe and husband Brian and their girls, Addison and Bristol of Hinton, OK, Clay Clinton and Joyce of Owasso, OK. He graduated from Omega High School and worked for U.S. Gypsum for 40 years. Johnny married Charlene West at the Trinity Baptist Church in Watonga on January 4, 1961. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and one sister; Karen Eason. He is survived by: Two brothers: Paul Rutz of Okeene, Oklahoma, Larry Rutz of Perkins, Oklahoma; Two sisters: Sandi Heistand of Yukon, Oklahoma, Linda Davis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma As well as numerous other relatives and friends. David Alan Vaughn was born January 7, 1979 to Thomas L. and Belinda S. (Seyler) Vaughn in Weatherford, OK. He passed away Saturday May 27, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 38. David graduated from Geary High School and attended Vo-Tech in El Reno. He worked for Cherokee and Loves in Maintenance. David was an avid OU Fan, he enjoyed river fishing, hunting, watching all sports, and being around people. The Bison Booster Club had made David their most valuable fan. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and served as custodian for many years. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Homer and Freda Vaughn and Mollie Seyler, one brother, Jeff Vaughn, and uncle, Eugene Seyler. Jerin Keith Corrigan, age 42, of Okarche, OK, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, in Kingfisher, OK Memorial services were held Monday, June 5, 2017 at the Church of Christ, Watonga, OK with Jerry Bradford officiating. Jerin was born August 6, 1974 in Watonga, OK to Jerry and Linda Corrigan. He attended school in Denton, TX. He loved traveling with his father. A self-taught mechanic, he could fix anything. He was always smiling. Jerin was preceded in death by his mother, Linda, and his grandparents on both sides. He is survived by his father, Jerry, his sister Jeneta, two nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, who will miss him.

Carmelita Coats was born on December 14, 1953 to Santana and Teddy Hernandez. She passed away on May 31, 2017 in Somerville, TN with her family at the age of 63. Carmel attended school in Austwell- Tivola, TX. She moved to Oklahoma in 1971 and worked at the Cherokee Restaurant for Howard and Jo Smith. She married Jimmy Smith on September 23, 1971. She met the love of her life, Carl Coats, in 1980 and they married on February 14, 1981. They made their home in Watonga, OK since that time. She had various jobs, one being the Dairy Kream, where she greeted all with her kindness and contagious smile. She is missed by all. Patricia Anne Boon 1941~2017

Patricia was born in Enid Oklahoma July 10, 1941, to Elza and Bessie Jones She moved to Portland, Oregon, when she was 4 years old. Then, to San Diego, California where she graduated from Mount Miguel High School in 1959 with Honors. She moved to Oklahoma where she met and married Wayne Darrow Boon on June 2, 1960. They had four children: Brian Boon and wife, Kris of El Reno, Sheryl Smith of Greenfield, Michael Boon and wife Angela of Bartlesville, Laurie Valenzuela and husband Juan of Watonga. She has 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Darrow Boon, her father Elza Jones, who is buried in Alaska, her mother, Bessie Jones and one grandchild, Bradley Boon. She is survived by three sisters and one brother.She was a member of Faith Family Church in El Reno,where she served as a board member. Funeral Services will be Friday, June 16, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Greenfield Baptist Church.

Peggy Ann Pope 1951~2017

Peggy Ann Pope, 66, of Yukon, Oklahoma, passed from this world on Saturday, June 17th, 2017, in the presence of family and friends at the Integris Hospice House of Oklahoma City. Born November 21, 1951 to James and Josie Nault, Peggy was the eldest of five siblings. She received a Bachelor of Arts in English from Phillips University in 1974, a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry from Kansas Newman College in 1987, and a Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry from the Aquinas Institute of Theology in 2000.A devoted Catholic, Peggy served in the Church as a teacher, a mentor, and a leader in her faith community. She served in the RCIA and Journey of Faith programs, in Stephen Ministries, and as a Director of Religious Education. She was married to Scott Pope in 1972, and raised four children over the course of 40 years. She was, by turns, very many admirable things: an avid reader and a lover of flower gardens; the most accomplishedof listeners and a veritable font of wisdom; a patient and supportive friend; a wife who was, somehow, actually always right; and a mother devoted to the well-being of her children. Peggy spent her last few weeks surrounded by beloved family, and her last few hours attended by both family members and dear and beautiful friends. Peggy is survived by her devoted husband, Scott Alan Pope, of Yukon; her four children, Anthony, Tracie, Rebecca, and Dhebra; her mother, Josie Nault of Watonga; sister Donna and brothers David, Walter, and Michael. Although she is not here with us in flesh, Peggy’s legacy survives. Her work continues as the memory of her life remains in those whose hearts she touched. A memorial service will be held at 7 P.M. on June 22, 2017 at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church in Yukon, OK. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. the following morning on June 23 at St. John Nepomuk.

Ronald (Ronnie) Dale Stewart 1942~2017

Ronald (Ronnie) Dale Stewart was born on May 2, 1942 in Kingfisher, OK to Troy and Lorene Stewart and passed away on June 16, 2017 at the age of 75. He was a resident of the Watonga community for forty-eight years where he was a Farmer and Rancher. Ronnie loved the land and he loved his family very much. He graduated from Omega High School. Ronnie was married to Mary Sue Schweitzer at Calumet Catholic Church on May 4, 1963. He was preceded in death by his parents, Troy andLorene Stewart, his brother, Troy (Cap) Stewart, his sister, Lavonn McKnight, his granddaughter, Quinci Dawn, and grandson, Logan Henry Stewart. He is survived by MarySue of the home in Watonga, and his sons:  Lonnie Stewart, wife Wendy, of Weatherford, OK; Montie Stewart, wife Janet, of Stillwater, OK; Shawn Stewart, wife Ashley, of Yukon, OK; Matt Gorman of Oklahoma City, OK; sister: Joy Clovis, and husband, Aaron; grandchildren: Levi, Kaden, Brenna, Savanna, Braily, Lee, Thomasa, Stetson, Riley, Casey, Garrett, Morgan; and great grandchild: Harlow; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Ronald Dale Stewart will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, 10:30 am, at the St. Rose Catholic Church in Watonga, OK with Father Francis Nguyen officiating.  Burial will follow in the WatongaIOOF Cemetery with Wilkinson Mortuary in charge of arrangements. Joan Forney 1928~2017

Joan Forney was born on March 19, 1928 West of Geary, OK to Jack and Regina (Nicolai) Weygandt. She passed away on June 11, 2017 in Watonga, OK at the age of 89. Joan graduated from Geary High School. During her last year of High School, Joan lived with Fred and Ruth Sleeper, worked for them for roomand board throughout the week, and went home on the weekends. Joan married Garl Forney on February 12, 1948 in Henrietta, TX. They lived SW of Watonga for all of their life. In 1989, she moved to El Reno, then moved to Greenfield in 1993. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and mowing her lawn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Regina Weygandt, her husband Garl Forney, her son, Scott Forney, 2 sisters, Mary Sullivan and Dorothy Franz, and 1 brother, Robert Weygandt.Survivors Include: her children, Kenny Forney and wife Mary of Greenfield, OK, Jack Forney and wife Sheila of Fay, OK, andBev Yost and husband Den of Kingfisher, OK, 9 grandchildren, Mike Forney and wife Amber of OKC,OK, Ja'Nette Lokey andhusband Aaron of Chickasha, OK, Kyla Forney and Michael Jacobs of El Reno, OK, Miranda Cash and husband Don of Fay, OK, Susan Forney of El Reno, OK, T.J. Charles Lee Sherrill, age 85, died in Phoenix, AZ. on June 18, 2017. Born October 19, 1930 he lived in Watonga most of his life, excepting his years in the Airforce and recent years spent inArizona. A private, military service will be held for the family in Phoenix. AZ
