Lannie Dee Reiber was born on May 20, 1934 in Oxford, Nebraska to Sadie Vincent Reiber and Joseph Reiber. He passed away on Jan. 13, 2017, in Oklahoma City, OK, at Deaconess Hosp. at the age of 82. Lannie attended School in Oxford, NE. He married Janet Metzger in 1952. They resided in Oxford, NE then Denver, CO and then moved to California, and later New Mexico, divorcing in 1976. Lannie was a Commercial Welder, and traveled the United States as a Journey Man. He moved to Watonga, Oklahoma, in June, 2016, from his hometown of Oxford, NE., to be near his Son and Grandchildren, as his health was failing. Lannie accepted Jesus as his Savior at a Billy Graham crusade in California. He was a member of the Evangelical Free Church in Oxford, Ne. He was a historian and loved to tell the stories.

Survivors include: Son’s: Stephen and his wife Sharon of Geary, Ok; Mark and his wife Debbie of Farmington, N.M., 11 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by His Parents, Daughters: Vicky Reiber, who passed away on January 19th, 2017, following Lannie’s death, of Holdrege, NE, and Darlene Sheldon: S. Dakota and son Alan Reiber: Lake of the Pines, TX; Sisters Nattley and Eileen: Washington, Norma: OK. Brothers: Harvey of CA., Joe Jr. Wyoming

Celebration of Life will be held at Evangelical Free Church in Oxford, NE. on March 13, 2017.

Instead of flowers, donations may be made to the Wheatheart program in Watonga, or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
