Funeral services for Mildred Frances (Grabow) Scott, 94, of Eagle City, OK will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Eagle City Christian Church with Pastor Monte Michaelson officiating. Interment will follow in Eagle City Cemtery under the direction of Pierce Funeral Home, Canton.
Mildred was born on February 3, 1922 at Kingfisher, OK to Fred Paul and Esther Viola (Edsall) Grabow. She departed this life on Monday, January 16, 2017 at Weatherford, OK. Mildred attended one year of school at Omega and graduated from Eagle City High School in 1940. She married Melvin Scott on August 16, 1940 at Eagle City. Mildred was a longtime member of the Eagle City Christian Church. She enjoyed working in her garden, sewing, crocheting and quilting.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Melvin Scott; one son, Jerry Scott; two brothers, Melvin Grabow and Fred Grabow; one great-grandson, Logan Black; Survivors include two sons, Duane Allen Scott and wife Barbara and Larry Melvin Scott and wife Julia; one daughter, Karen Frances Schoonmaker and husband Steve, all of Eagle City, OK; one sister, Estalene Teply and husband Don of Watonga, OK; twelve grandchildren, Judith Schou and husband Brice, Diana Tuggle and husband Jim, Tammie Butler and husband Keith, Debbie Cox and husband Shaun, Darren Scott and wife April, Jennifer Hightower, David Scott and wife Melissa, Traci Wilson and husband Eddie, Brian Schoonmaker and wife Robin, Staci Black and husband Robbie, Derrick Scott and Kelby Scott; twenty one great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
