Ursula (Weigand) Rhodes

Funeral services for Ursula (Weigand) Rhodes, 76 year-old Fay, Oklahoma resident, were held Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Watonga Christian Church with Adam Lovitt officiating. Burial was hel in Homestead Cemetery in Okeene, Oklahoma under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Thomas. Ursula was born to Fritz and Maria (Korwall) Weigand on July 31, 1941 in Darmstadt, Germany and went to be with her savior on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid, Oklahoma, where she was surrounded by her family, at the age of 76 years, 8 months, and 15 days. Ursula was born and raised in Darmstadt, Germany and attended school to completion of the 8th grade. She completed her education in work houses learning life skills. She met Virgel in 1956 while he was stationed with the US Army in Germany. They were married on June 11, 1958 in Pirmasens, Germany. After Virgel had completed his service they moved to Oklahoma where they lived and worked in various places. Then they moved to California where they initially raised their family before returning to Fay, Oklahoma in 1970. They made their home on the family farm where Ursula worked alongside her husband custom harvesting and farming. Ursula will be remembered as a loving, caring, and supportive wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed crocheting, going to the casino, and teaching her grandchildren to cheat at dominoes and cards. She especially loved cooking, spending time with her family, and attending her grandchildren’s activities. Ursula is survived by three daughters, Ada Moon and her husband, Kevin of Fay, Oklahoma, Susan Davis and her husband, Bill of Enid, Oklahoma, and Marcy Yoder of Thomas, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, Kacie Moon, Lyndsie and husband, Russell Priddy, Shannon and husband, Nathan Nance, Brandon and wife, Jamie Davis, Austin and wife, Kenzie Moon, Logan and wife, Crystal Yoder, Megan and husband, Kevin Owens, Andy Moon, Kaitlyn Davis and Morgan Yoder; six great-grandchildren, Bo and Ember Owens, Forrest Yoder, Hallie and Noah Nance and Juliana Davis; and four sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgel; one son; her parents; six brothers; and three sisters.

Richard M. Thrasher

Richard M. Thrasher was born on April 8, 1947 in Watonga, OK to Maurice and Cleo (Smith) Thrasher. He passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 in Las Vegas, NV at the age of 71. Richard graduated from Watonga High School. He served in the US Marine Corps from October 1966- October 1972. His service during the Vietnam War: September 1967- October 1970; Khe Sanh Tet 1968 26th Marine Regiment; Danang 1969-1970 1st Recon Battalion as a radio operator- communication specialist. After his service, he attended Southwestern University in Weatherford, OK. He lived most of his life in the Watonga area. He married Karen Moon on April 16, 1983 in Greenfield, OK. He owned and operated R&K Tax Service in Watonga from 1984-1995; Karen joined the business in 1995 and they both retired in 2016. Richard and Karen did everything together; loved visiting, OU Football, RVing, listening to music, traveling, cruising, an avid motorcycle rider, watching western movies and enjoyed being with people. He was a member of the VFW, the Disabled American Veterans, and a member of the Watonga Christian Church where he served as Deacon and treasurer. He volunteered to be a Reserve County Sheriff Deputy for four years. Survivors include: his wife, Karen Thrasher of Yukon, OK, his sister, Mable Rice and husband Warren of Watonga, OK, his uncles, Bob Thrasher of Alexandria, LA, and Homer Paul Thrasher of Mountain Grove, MO, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Cleo Thrasher, and 3 sisters, Juanita Oler, Colleen Wooldridge, and Carolyn Etherton. Floyd Earl Driever

Floyd Earl Driever was born on November 20, 1937 in Hitchcock, OK to Chester Roy and Bertha L. (Bohr) Driever. He passed away on April 27, 2018 in Watonga, OK at the age of 80. He started school in Hitchcock then moved to Watonga. He served in the Air Force for 5 1/2 years as a hydraulics technical instructor. He married Shirley Morrison on February 18, 1965 in Las Vegas, NV. They lived in California before moving to the Watonga area in 1966 and began his farming career. Floyd owned a filling station, ran heavy equipment, and devoted his life to farming and his family. He was a member of Elks Lodge for many years where at one time served a Exalted Ruler. He also was on the board of trustees at Cimarron Electric Cooperative for many years. Floyd along with his wife Shirley overseen the Blaine County Community Christmas Dinner for 26 years. Survivors Include: his wife Shirley Driever of Watonga, OK, his sons, Thad Driever and wife Lisa of Noble, OK, and Chad Driever and wife Alyssa of Yukon, OK, his grandchildren: Hanna Lomax and husband Corey of Yukon, OK, Tucker Earl Driever of Watonga, OK, Colton Driever and wife Sasha of Weatherford, OK, Makenzie Driever of Noble, OK, Kirstin Driever of Noble, OK, and Kellen Driever of Noble, OK, his sister, Francis Cleveland of Yukon, OK, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Bertha Driever, his son, Chet Driever, and 2 brothers, Clyde and Joe Driever. Gayle Ann Saville 1938~2018

Gayle Ann Saville was born July 30, 1938 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Alma Grace Bingham Fallis and passed away Monday, April 30, 2018 at the age of 79. She was a resident of Watonga, Oklahoma for most of her life where she tended to her home and family. She attended Fay Schools and was a member of First Baptist Church located in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. She was married to Joe Whitson on November 12, 1954 in Patalis, New Mexico and they were married for 30 years. Gayle then married Gerald Saville until his death a few months ago. Gayle was an avid garage sale shopper, loved to bowl and bowled on several different bowling leagues. Gayle was preceded in death her parents; husband, Gerald; step-daughter, Ginger Jacobs; brother, Larry Fallis; and sister, Reba Fallis. She is survived by: Two sons, Danny Whitson of Cheyenne, Oklahoma and Terry Whitson of Elk City, Oklahoma; one daughter, Kristi Whitson and Chris Spath of Elk City, Oklahoma; one brother, Bobby Fallis of OklahomaCity, Oklahoma; one sister, Linda McSperitt of Watonga, Oklahoma; step-children, Jerry Saville of Bethany, Oklahoma; and Rhonda Saville of Enid, Oklahoma; twenty grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.Graveside Services for Gayle will be held Monday, May 7, 2018 at 2:00 pm at West Mt. Pleasant in Watonga, Oklahoma. Arrangements by Wilkinson Mortuary of Watonga.

Ricky B. Ray 1955~2018

Ricky Ray was born December 26, 1955 at Watonga, Oklahoma to R.B. and Luella (Milligan) Ray and passed away Saturday May 5, 2018 at the age of 62. Ricky was a resident of the Watonga community his entire life. He worked for Unit Petroleum and worked in the oilfield as a pumper for 25 years. Before his work in the oilfield he worked for Blaine County District 1. Ricky graduated from Watonga High School in 1974 and attended the United Methodist Church of Watonga. Ricky loved spending time with his children and his three grandchildren. He loved fishing, sports, and enjoyed coming home from work, relaxing in his pool and cooking out. He married Cathy Dunn at the United Methodist Church in Watonga, Oklahoma on February 8, 1980, and together they had two children; Ty and Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother in law, Tom Morgan. Ricky is survived by his wife Cathy of the home in Watonga; Two children: Ty Ray and wife Toni of Weatherford, Oklahoma; Taylor Bailey and husband T.J. of Greenfield, Oklahoma; Two sisters: Vicky Ray of Watonga, Oklahoma and Micky Morgan of Watonga, Oklahoma; Three grandchildren: Tyton and Tyger Ray and Tinleigh Bailey as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Graveside services for Ricky were held Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Watonga, Oklahoma with Pastor Tracey Ivey officiating. Wilkinson Mortuary of Watonga, Oklahoma. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bob Fanning Memorial Wrestling tournament, or M. D. Anderson for cancer research.

Jimmy Walter Winkleblack 1948~2018

Funeral services for Jimmy Walter Winkleblack, 69, of Watonga, were Monday, May 7, 2018 at the Watonga Assembly of God with Burial in the First Highland Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc. Jim was born on November 19, 1948 to the Walter and Dorothy (Noe) Winkleblack and passed away May 1, 2018 at the Intergis Bass Baptist Hospital in Enid. Jim is survived by two brothers; Ricky and Wayne Winkleblack, five sisters; Ethel Howard, Linda Lauminick, Donna Rauh, Janet Dorrell, and JoAnn Winkleblack, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, two sisters, and one nephew.

Michael C. Dyer, 63, of Waurika, Oklahoma, passed from this life May 17, 2018. He was born January 16, 1955, in Waurika, to A.C. and Bobby Sue Dyer. He was a farmer/rancher and worked for Halliburton for eighteen years. He was a member of the Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association and the First Baptist Church in Waurika. Survivors include: his wife Joanna; his sister Diane York; his children Jared Dyer and wife Michelle, and Karen Wright; and five grandchildren.

Angeline Sankey 1968~2018

Angeline Sankey was born on February 26, 1968 at Clinton, OK to Arapaho Chief Alonzo and Margaret (Red cherries) Sankey. She passed away on Monday evening, May 21, 2018 at her home in rural Canton, OK. Angie grew up in the Canton area and graduated with the class of 1986 at Canton High School. She worked for eleven years for the Cheyenne & Arapaho Tribes Food Distribution Center in Watonga as a Certification Clerk. Angie enjoyed going to pow-wows, benefit dances and concerts. Angie was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Margaret Sankey; two sisters, Trudi and Alondra; Survivors include  her daughter, Natasha Sankey of the home; two brothers, Scott Sankey and wife Candi and Corbin Sankey, both of Canton, OK; three sisters, Danette Hook and husband Harold of Canton, OK, Annette Bober of Canton, OK and Lanette Coffey of Watonga, OK; two nieces Logan Sankey and Hazel Sankey; one nephew, Leo Bober, Jr.; companion Troy Little raven of Geary, OK; and many other extended family and friends. Wake services were held Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the Canton Native American Gym with Rev. George Akeen, Jr. officiating. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 25, 2018 at the same venue. Interment followed in Canton Cemetery under the direction of Pierce Funeral Home, Canton. Ryan Lamont Cardwell 1984~2018

Ryan Lamont Cardwell was born on September 5, 1984 to Jason Henry and Linda (Sullaway) Cardwell. He passed away on May 20, 2018 in Boutte, LA at the age of 33. Ryan married Emily Buchmann on March 23, 2006. Ryan worked for Air 2 corporation as a helicopter lineman in various states, and also with electrical and oil field-related companies. He loved going home and spending time with his son Phoenix. Ryan was also a singer-songwriter and artist. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Kenneth Sullaway, and C.W. Cardwell; his brother, Justin L. Cardwell, and his uncle, Mike Sullaway. Survivors include: his wife, Emily Cardwell, his son, Phoenix Cardwell, both of Watonga, OK; his parents, Jason and Linda Cardwell of San Marcos, TX; his sister, Miranda Fischer of Austin TX; his grandparents, Cleada Sullaway of Hinton, OK, and Marcy Cardwell of Weatherford OK; as well as many other relatives and friends.
