1934~2016
Delores Rose Thompson was born November 16, 1934 at Fay, Oklahoma to Fred and Ella Mae (Stoops) Forney and passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the age of 82.
She was a resident of the Watonga community most of her life until 2002 when she moved to Okarche. She attended Greenfield Schools and was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Watonga, and the First Baptist Church in Okarche, OK. Delores’s life revolved around family and farming, and she loved attending her families sporting events. She also loved traveling. Delores married Gene Thompson on November 16, 1950 in Watonga, OK.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Gene, one brother Garl and one granddaughter, Erica Castleberry.
She is survived by: One son: Rick Thompson of Sulpher, OK. Three daughters: Rhonda Reherman of Kingfisher, Anita Followwill of Oklahoma City and Tammy Castleberry of Kingfisher and all their spouses.
ne sister: Neva West of Oklahoma City, OK. 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Delores will be held Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church in Okarche, Ok with burial following in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Watonga. Wilkinson Mortuary of Watonga in charge of arrangements.
