Wanda Jo Compton was born on March 17, 1937 in Enid, OK to David and Anna (Ruhl) Ratledge. She passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at her home in Watonga, OK at the age of 79. Wanda graduated from Greenfield High School in 1955. She married Omer Lee Compton, November 2, 1957 in Watonga, OK. She owned and operated the Eagle's Nest in Watonga for over 20 years. Wanda was a bookkeeper for Opportunities Inc. for another 20 years. She also owned and operated the W.J.'s Plants and Flowers in Watonga, OK. Survivors include: her children; Paul Compton and wife JoAnne of Watonga, OK, Kathy Jo Compton of Watonga, OK, 1 grandson, Ryan Compton of Watonga, OK, and 1 great-granddaughter, Aria Compton, as well as many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Anna Ratledge; and one aunt, Ellen Brock. Graveside Services were at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Saturday, August 20, 2016, Greenfield, OK. with Mr. Adam Lovitt officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Greenfield, OK services entrusted to Turner Funeral Home, Geary, Oklahoma.
