Barbara Ruth Keen was born October 27, 1933 on the home place in Hitchcock, Oklahoma to Ebbie and Virgie (Graham) Wray and passed away Monday, July 25, 2016 at the age of 82. She was a resident of the Watonga and Hitchock communities her whole life where she was a farmer-rancher and owned and operated Watonga Machine and Steel for 54 years. Barbara graduated from Hitchcock High School and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Watonga. She was married to Dewey Simmons who passed away in 1958 and married Charles Keen in 1960. She was preceded in death by both husbands; Dewey and Charlie, her parents, one infant son and sister; Olive Koetter. She is survived by: Three sons; Rocky Simmons and wife Mary Jane of Woodward, OK; Tony Simmons and wife Terri of Watonga, OK; Ray Simmons and wife Marilyn of Weatherford, OK. One daughter, Debra Jean Fry and husband Ronnie of Lomega, OK. One sister, Donna Payne of Watonga, OK Nine grandchildren; Clint Cowan, Scott Cowan, Sarah Fry, Eric Simmons, Rod Simmons, Shannon Grubbs, Marty Simmons, Ingrid Law and Phillip Simmons. 11 great grandchildren as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
