Beverly Kay “Aunt Bea” Tomlinson, was the daughter of Vera Green Tomlinson and Jay (S.J.) Tomlinson. She was born on March 12, 1954 in Watonga, Oklahoma. Beverly died peacefully surrounded by family at 1:29 a.m., Sunday, March 4, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. Beverly was a 1972 graduate of Watonga High School and a lifelong area resident. At the time of her death Beverly was employed by Opportunities Inc. in Watonga where she had worked since December 15, 1980. Aunt Bea will be missed by those she worked with, her special friends, and most importantly by her family. She served as a perfect role model for all who knew her. She loved life and lived it well. Aunt Bea never met a stranger and was always willing to help others when needed. She will be most remembered for her giving heart. Aunt Bea was always thinking of others, providing a shoulder to lean on or helping to give advice where needed. She has left us way too soon, but today she is rejoicing with others who have gone before her. Aunt Bea is survived by her sister, Barbara Glazier of Loyal; brother, Sammy and wife Sharon of Watonga; half-sister, Pam Hinson and husband Travis of Yukon; Niece, Kim Grellner and husband Kelly of Okarche; Niece, Krystal Turner and husband Ricky of Seiling; Niece, Sondra Tomlinson and Pedro Servin of Weatherford; Nephew, Spencer Tomlinson and wife Allie of Norwich, KS; Niece, Sydney Tomlinson of Yukon; Niece, Allison Kuc of Yukon; nine great nieces and nephews, several aunts, uncles, cousins and a few very close friends, Gracie, Frankie, Glenda, Anita and David among many others. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jay (S.J.) and Vera Green Tomlinson, brother-in-law, Gary Glazier and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 8, at the Watonga Christian Church; Dwight McGee will officiate. Burial will be at the Watonga IOOF Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Aunt Bea can be made to the Blaine County Food Pantry at Opportunities Incorporated in Watonga.
