
Charles Everett (Chuck) Wolsey was born February 26, 1946 at Watonga, Oklahoma to C. A. and Lockey (Davis) Wolsey and passed away March 2, 2017 at the age of 71. He was a life-long member of the Watonga community where he worked in a variety of occupations that enabled him to pursue his love of being a farmer/rancher. Chuck attended Watonga Public Schools graduating with the class of 1964. He was drafted into the US Army in 1966 and upon completing a tour of duty in Vietnam returned to Southwestern State University to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1973. Chuck furthered his education at Oklahoma State University obtaining a Master of Science degree in 1981. Chuck worked as the director of the Job Training Partnership Program through Opportunities Inc. from 1984 to 1999 and served as Oklahoma president of the JTPA Directors Association in the early 1990's. He was also a member of the Elks Club and served as secretary of the local chapter for several years. Chuck Wolsey was married to Ruth (Barnes)Wolsey on August 5, 1983 at Watonga, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, C.A. and Lockey Wolsey. He is survived by his wife Ruth, of the home in Watonga: A son, Jesse Wolsey, Wretham, Norfolk, United Kingdom and two daughter, Tammy Terry of Clinton, Oklahoma, and Ada Dyer, Watonga, Oklahoma. He is also survived by a brother, Ken Wolsey, and three granddaughters, Paisley Marie Dyer, Leila Grace Dyer, and Oakley June Dyer as well as many other relatives and friends. A memorial service for Chuck will be held Friday, March 10, 2017, at two o'clock at the Nazarene Church in Watonga, Oklahoma. Wilkinson Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
